Located in the heart of downtown Midland, Emerson Park provides recreation for people of all ages. The Park, which runs alongside both the rail-trail and the Tittabawassee river, contains a variety of activities for public use.
Near the park is an outdoor rollerblading rink which is often used for roller hockey. The rink is usually well lit until 10 p.m. The park also has four softball fields which were used in the 1998 National Softball Tournament. Currie Stadium is often used for baseball and softball events.
Besides the rink, the park offers a playgoround with slides, swings, and hoseshoes. Emerson park is an excellent place to take the kids for an afternoon.
